The kennel "Ruski Izvor" wishes to thank you all for your attention and interest for this noble and extremely interesting breed. We are going to do our best here to present you this breed in true colours and by this means help you to get to know it as well as possible. Once you know it - we are sure you'll love it.

The Caucasians don't count into unknown or rare breeds in Yugoslavia. Something else is considered to be a problem with the breeders and fans of the breed - and that is the question: "What should a real Caucasian be like?" We hope to help you in finding an answer to this question, reading the articles we prepared for you.

The breeding kennel "Ruski Izvor" (FCI 4160) is into breeding of the Caucasian & Central Asian shepherd dog.

Our first Caucasians were brought from Russia in 1995 and since then we have remained devoted to this breed. The first two dogs, pure white - NURDAN and NURBEK had all the qualities of the real Caucasians - loyalty, generosity, and intelligence. After them we got a dog bred here - BEG, sprung from native Done (Krasnodar). This dog won many prizes and victories at the exhibitions, and finally became the multi-champion (in 1998 and 2000).

Wishing to import new breeding material from the original country, we bought a female - IVETA of old Leningrad (Frant, Dato) and Moscow (Ajtesh, Raksh) streams. Up to this day, she has won many rewards in competitions, she sush titles"The Young Champion of Yugoslavia", "Champion of Yugoslavia" . Out of the litter of Iveta and Noris (Ch.Tagor x Lejla), our female Panda (born in 2000) has been taken to exhibitions. She won "The Young Champion of Yugoslavia", "Champion of Yugoslavia", more time BOB.

In the year 2000, one more female was brought from Russia. It was NIJANA, the daughter of: the Champion of Russia Urbaj (Ch. of Russia Tagor x Matiljda) and Zhanetta-Boss, of old Novosibirsk streams (Boksar). When she was only 11 months old, she became "The Young Champion of Yugoslavia" in 2001. Now Nijana have more titles - CH YU, CH C.E.EUROPE, CH RO, CH BG, INTERCHAMPION.
At present, these females are the basis of the breeding kennel and we hope that they will show as successful in the Yugoslav breeding career as they have at the exhibitions.

The male from our kennel be import to Russia, too - Samocvety Urala Ideal and Samocvety Urala Charoit. Samocvety Urala Ideal was more titles - JCH YU, CH RO, Candidate of CH HR, HU, BG, BIH, interchampion.CAROIT is young male, and we hope, what his show career in 2005 year.

Out of the litter of Nijana and Ural (Samocvety Urala Ideal) our female ONEGA FROM RUSKI IZVOR now is JCH SCG, CAC, CACIB, 3xBOB. It's start her show-career.

The our kennel started to breeding Central Asian sheepdogs, too. In the year 2004, we imported two puppies - NAZAR & NEZENIN MIA.

At last, the owners of the breeding kennel are Dragan and Polina Simic from Dobanovci near Belgrade. Polina is a vet and a cinology judge, the president of "The Club of the Russian breeds ", editor of specialty magazine about Russian breed "ALMANAH about the Russian breeds" (ex- "Informator CO & CAO").

Everybody who visited our breeding kennel noticed the ideal conditions for keeping dogs. There are cages and there is a big yard (20 acres) plus 20 acres of the fenced space for walks. We work with the best breeders in the Russia and the world.

We also want to thank everyone who contributed to this site and let us have the photos and articles. Special thanks to the Yugoslav magazine "Zov" and the editor Milan Jovanovic, who first published our photographs and articles about Caucasians that gave a significant contribution to the popularity of these dogs here in Yugoslavia.

Enjoy looking through the site!

"Ruski Izvor" wishes you all the best!
